Terms of use
In short: Bachat is a free tool that helps you see and plan your own money. It doesn't move money and doesn't give financial advice. Please check the numbers that matter to you.
1. Who these terms are with
These terms are between you and Rajnish Kumar, the developer of Bachat, based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. If you downloaded Bachat from the App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies; where the two differ, these terms add to Apple's and do not reduce your rights under it.
2. What Bachat does
Bachat reads the bank and shop messages, emails, statements and entries you choose to give it, and turns them into a list of spends, budgets, plans and goals on your device. It does not connect to your bank account, hold or move money, or store bank passwords.
3. Guidance, not advice
Everything in Bachat, including Grow, the safe-to-spend number, budget suggestions and goal plans, is general information and guidance based on your own numbers. It is not financial, investment, tax, insurance or legal advice, and it never recommends a specific product. Estimates of growth or returns are examples, not promises: real returns can be lower or negative. For decisions that matter, talk to a licensed professional.
4. Check what matters
Bachat reads messages written in many formats and does its best to merge duplicates and choose categories. It can still miss a spend, read one wrongly or place it in the wrong category, and exchange rates are reference rates, not your bank's. Items it is unsure about wait in Review rather than counting. Please check amounts before you rely on them, for example before paying a bill.
5. Your data and your device
Your data stays on your device and belongs to you (see the privacy policy). Because we hold no copy, we can't recover it if your phone is lost or the app is deleted. Use the backup feature and keep your backup password safe. You are responsible for keeping your device secure.
6. Fair use
Use Bachat only for your own (or your household's) money and within the law. Don't try to break, copy or resell the app, or use it to process other people's data without their permission. Shortcuts automations, email accounts and third-party services you connect are used under their own terms.
7. The app as it is
Bachat is provided free and "as is". We work to keep it accurate and available, but we can't promise it will always be error-free or work with every bank message format. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, or for decisions made using the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be excluded.
8. Changes and ending
We may update the app and these terms. If a change is important, we will say so in the release notes before it applies. You can stop using Bachat at any time by deleting the app; "Delete everything" in the app erases your data first.
9. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and the federal laws of the UAE. If you live in India or elsewhere, you keep the protections of the consumer laws where you live.
